The LA-300 is a core model within the JTEKT Takisawa LA Series, designed as an economy turning center that focuses on delivering high-level performance and stability at an accessible price point. It features a robust design with a max swing of 580 mm (22.8 in) and a max turning length of 1086 mm (42.76 in), making it ideal for a wide range of general turning applications.

The machine’s spindle is made in-house to ensure the highest quality and reliability. Customers have flexibility with two main spindle options: a GearBox headstock for high torque or a P motor headstock for high precision and cost-effectiveness. The spindle operates at up to 3000 rpm and can accommodate a 12-inch chuck (with a 15-inch option) and a 90 mm bar work capacity. While the standard LA-300 utilizes a T10 or T12 standard turret and does not include Live Tool or Y-Axis capabilities, it maintains flexibility through customization options for motors, spindle nose, and tailstock. The tailstock body is high-rigidity with a hydraulic-driven quill, and various driven or pin-carry types can be selected according to user requirements, ensuring reliable part support for longer jobs.
