The VG510SA is a Vertical Tilt Head Bandsaw from the CLAUSING Kalamazoo series, built for high-volume production and capable of handling substantial material with a 20-inch by 26-4-inch maximum cutting capacity at 90 degrees. This machine’s defining feature is its hydraulic head tilt operation, which allows the saw frame to miter cut up to 60 degrees left or right from the vertical, and it can even cant forward 5 degrees for improved cutting relief.

Precision and control are centralized in the Smart 100 PLC with HMI touch screen controller, which manages all sawing functions, including blade speed and frame feed speed, and allows for semi-automation of the cutting program. The saw is driven by a powerful 7-5 Hp motor with an inverter variable speed drive, offering blade speeds from 66 to 264 feet per minute to optimize cutting across various materials. Material clamping is secured by left and right dual hydraulic vises with rack and gear operation, ensuring a solid hold. The entire system is built on a heavy-duty cast iron work table and features a hydraulic blade tension system and solid tungsten carbide blade guides for maximum blade life and cutting accuracy.
