Flint Machine Tools

VG560SA

The VG560SA from Clausing’s Kalamazoo Saws line is a robust, high-performance Vertical Tilt Head Bandsaw built for heavy-duty, volume production cutting. This machine handles large materials with a maximum cutting capacity of 22 inches by 30 inches at 90 degrees. Its defining feature is the hydraulic head tilt operation, which allows the saw head to miter from 90 degrees to 60 degrees left or right, complete with a digital display for 0.1 degree accuracy. Additionally, the head can cant forward 5 degrees for improved cutting relief.

The VG560SA ensures precise and consistent cutting through a range of advanced features. It is powered by a powerful 7.5 HP drive motor with an inverter variable speed drive, allowing the operator to select the optimal blade speed between 66 and 264 FPM. The machine’s semi-automation capabilities are managed by a Smart 100 PLC with an HMI touch screen controller that centralizes control over all sawing functions, including blade speed, frame feed speed, and hydraulic tilt. Material clamping is secured by dual hydraulic rack gear vises that can be operated independently or together from the control panel. Precision is further maintained by solid carbide blade guides and a hydraulic system for both blade tension and guide arm positioning. The unit is a three-phase machine wired for 230 or 460 volts.
