Performance is delivered by a 3 hp (2.23 kW) AC inverter drive motor with a variable frequency AC drive. The machine features a dual-range transmission that provides an extremely wide band speed range of 30 to 320 fpm in low gear and 550 to 5,500 fpm in high gear.
