The HR-70 is a robust model within the Fryer HR Series of Horizontal Machining Centers, proudly made in the USA. These machines are engineered with extra large castings, ballscrews, and bearings to provide exceptional accuracy, high vibration dampening, and the rigidity needed for your most demanding applications. The HR-70 offers a generous work capacity of 70 inches in X-axis travel by 55 or 72 inches in Y-axis travel and 36 or 46 inches in Z-axis travel, making it highly capable of handling large components.

Power is delivered by a high-torque 40 HP spindle motor driving a 6,000 RPM 50 taper spindle, ensuring the necessary rigidity and cutting power. Productivity features include optional 24, 40, or 60 tool arm-type Automatic Tool Changers (ATC) and optional high pressure coolant thru spindle. The HR-70 is particularly effective for small lot machining due to the user-friendly Fryer-Siemens 828-HS CNC control. This control system simplifies operation with simple menu programming, fast setup keys, and multi-mode operation that allows manual, semi-automatic, and full CNC usage. The option of a built-in contouring rotary table further enhances the HR-70’s productivity by allowing multi-side machining in a single setup.
