The Röders RXP500DSC is a dedicated 5-axis machine engineered for the highest demands in High-Speed Cutting (HSC). This model is characterized by its optimized geometry, which provides superior machining access, especially in operations requiring large swivel ranges (115 degrees). A key feature of the DSC design is its focus on dynamics and inertia reduction compared to the RXP500DS, resulting in no break in the continuous rotation range of the C-axis. The design places the workpiece in the center of the swivel axis, minimizing the need for large compensation movements by the linear axes, which directly translates to higher precision and speed.

The machine is constructed for efficiency, featuring very high stiffness and an optimal layout of mass inertia. Precision is guaranteed by high-resolution optical encoders in all axes- powerful wear-free direct drives– and a special Röders 5-axis geometry compensation system that maintains high accuracy during long-lasting machining operations. Standard equipment includes a powerful 14 kW milling spindle that reaches 42,000 rpm, a linear tool changer with 21 positions (expandable to 35 or more with a chain changer that allows loading during machining), and an integrated measuring laser.
