The VL-66 through VL-100C-CM Vertical Turning Centers form HONOR SEIKI’s Heavy Duty Series, specifically engineered for the challenging task of machining large and difficult workpieces. The foundation of this series is a high-grade Meehanite casting used for the column and bed, featuring a dense box structure design that significantly reduces vibration and maximizes mechanical stability. This construction, combined with rigid box ways, provides the high rigidity necessary for excellent machining efficiency when working with tough materials, making these machines an ideal choice for the Aerospace industry and other heavy-duty applications.

The range includes models capable of handling Max. swing diameters up to 1-200 mm and Max. workpiece weights up to 3-500 kgs. Models suffixed with ‘CM’, such as the VL-100CM, are equipped with a live spindle, enabling milling and drilling operations in addition to turning, with live spindle speeds up to 2-250 rpm. This multi-tasking capability increases the part complexity achievable in a single setup.
