The Kingston HD-30 is a high-speed precision gap bed engine lathe engineered for demanding industrial environments. The machine is constructed with a strong Meehanite casting bed, featuring hardened and precision-ground bedways and cross slide ways for exceptional stability and accuracy during heavy cutting operations. The impressive 30-inch swing over the bed and D1-11 Camlock spindle nose are paired with a large 409-inch spindle bore, enabling the machining of substantial and complex workpieces.

Power is delivered by a 15-horsepower main drive motor that offers 12 spindle speeds ranging from 13 to 1200 revolutions per minute. The hardened and ground main spindle is supported by a three-point bearing system with taper roller bearings for superior rigidity and heavy-duty precision.

Operators can utilize a comprehensive range of inch threads from 1 to 42 TPI and metric pitches from 04 to 28mm. Standard features enhancing safety and productivity include a foot-operated braking system, a two-speed drive tailstock spindle with 98 inches of travel, a coolant system with pump and piping, a full-length splash guard, and Z-Axis Rapid Traverse on models 90 inches between centers and longer.
