The Kingston HJ-1100 Engine Lathe is built for durability and precision, ideal for production work, repairs, rethreading, and creating tooling and fixtures. Its robust design is favored by job shops and educational facilities for its ease of operation and long-lasting build. The machine features a solid 17-inch swing over the bed and a 106-inch swing over the cross slide with 435 inches between centers.

Powering the lathe is a 75 HP main motor with 12 spindle speeds ranging from 35 to 2000 RPM. The precision-ground main spindle is supported by a 3-point bearing system with taper roller bearings for precision cutting and features a D1-6 Camlock spindle nose. A key feature is the timing-belt-driven gearbox, which allows for a comprehensive selection of both inch threads (2 to 72 TPI) and metric pitches (02 to 14mm), eliminating the time and effort of changing gears. Both the bedways and cross slide are hardened and ground for maximum wear resistance and accuracy. The machine comes standard with a 10-inch 3-jaw scroll chuck, a 4-way tool post, and a full-length splash guard.
