The Kingston HP HPX 34-inch Big Bore Lathe is engineered for maximum power, rigidity, and precision in heavy-duty machining operations. This robust machine features a 34-inch swing over the bed and a wide 22-inch bed way constructed with high-quality casting for exceptional stability and accuracy. The machine is available in two high-capacity spindle bore options: the HP model with a 709-inch bore and the ultra-heavy-duty HPX model with a bore of 925 inches or an optional 101 inches, making it ideal for large diameter work such as oil country pipe and hollow spindle applications. At the core is a muscular 30 HP main drive motor providing high torque across 16 spindle speeds with a range of 8 to 700 RPM for the HP and 9 to 600 RPM for the HPX. The headstock is strong and rigid with a hardened and ground alloy steel spindle supported by precision taper roller bearings. Standard features include a hydraulic braking system, 4-way rapid traverse, and hardened and ground bed and cross slide ways, ensuring long-lasting accuracy and operational life. The machine accommodates various workpiece lengths with center distances available from 80 inches up to 280 inches. The gearbox provides 40 kinds of feed changes, offering versatility for a broad range of threading and feeding applications.
