The Kingston HR-34 Precision Lathe is a heavy-duty engine lathe engineered for exceptional power, stability, and longevity. It is the 34-inch swing model in the HR Series, which has been an industry leader for over 40 years. At the core of the machine is a strong, rigid headstock housing a hardened and ground main spindle supported by a three-point high precision bearing system for superior cutting capability. The spindle features a 409-inch bore, a D1-11 nose, and is driven by a 20-horsepower main motor offering a high torque 16-speed range from 8 to 800 RPM or an optional 12 to 1200 RPM.

The lathe is constructed with a unique, heavily ribbed 22-inch wide bedway made of high-quality casting to ensure greater stability and accuracy during heavy-duty applications. The hardened and precision-ground bedways are designed for long-lasting performance. A removable gap allows for a large 456-inch swing over the gap to accommodate oversized workpieces.

The totally enclosed gearbox utilizes hardened and ground gears and shafts to provide a comprehensive range of threading options, including 40 kinds of Inch threads, 31 kinds of Metric threads, 20 kinds of Module pitch threads, and 40 kinds of Diametral Pitch threads, all accessible through simple lever changes. Standard features include 4-way rapid traverse a thread chasing dial, an apron overload protection device, and a two-speed drive tailstock quill. The automatic lubrication system for the headstock and apron ensures long operational life and sustained accuracy, making the HR-34 a versatile and reliable choice for demanding machining environments.
