The Kingston KMT 3V is a rugged and precise vertical mill that upholds Kingston’s reputation for quality. Constructed with Meehanite casting for superior rigidity and durability, the machine is designed to handle a wide range of milling projects. The milling head features a powerful 3 HP motor and provides infinitely variable spindle speeds from 60 to 4200 RPM. The spindle is equipped with a set of Class 7 precision bearings, ensuring maximum runout is held within an impressive 0002 inches.

The machine’s large 10-inch by 50-inch table has hardened and ground ways, while the KMT 3V model specifically uses Dovetail Ways for the knee and table. To ensure optimal performance and reduced friction, the sliding surfaces of the X and Y axes are coated with Turcite B. Stability is further enhanced by a heavy-duty saddle support that runs the full width of the table.

Key capacity specifications include longitudinal travel of 36 inches and cross travel of 16 inches. It features a chromed quill with 50 inches of travel and three automatic quill feed rates (0015 003 and 006 inches per revolution). The machine includes essential standard features such as a one-shot lubrication system, hardened and ground back gear and clutch, and dual locks on the knee table saddle and ram.
