The Sharp LMV-42 is a high-performance vertical knee mill engineered for precision and long-term durability. It features a working table surface of 9 inches by 42 inches and 30 inches of travel on the X-axis. The machine is powered by a 3 HP motor driving an R-8 spindle with a variable speed range from 60 to 4500 RPM. To ensure exceptional accuracy and a long lifespan, the LMV-42 is constructed with Certified Meehanite castings for superior rigidity and features hard-chromed ways for maximum wear resistance. The spindle is supported by a matched pair of super-precision ABEC-7 angular contact bearings, resulting in a spindle runout of no more than 00002 inches TIR. Unique design features include a patented knuckle head that uses a six-bolt circular T-slot system for tight head security and a double-nut design to eliminate table and saddle backlash. The machine also includes a self-lubricating motor shaft and a one-shot lubrication system for easy maintenance.
