The Sharp TMV-DVS Vertical Knee Mill is a robust machine built with hardened and ground box ways on the vertical column and base, providing maximum rigidity and stability for heavy cutting applications. It features a spacious 10-inch x 54-inch table with a generous travel of 39 inches in the X-axis and 163 inches in the Y-axis. The head is equipped with a 3 HP motor and an R-8 spindle offering digital variable speeds from 60 to 4500 RPM, which is easy to change with a knob. For exceptional precision, the quill is CNC ground to a mirror finish and hard chromed, resulting in a spindle runout of no more than 0002 inches TIR. Key structural improvements include the patented six-bolt Knuckle Head design to prevent head slippage and dual clamps on the knee and saddle for even locking. The mill also incorporates a double nut backlash eliminator and a one-shot lubrication system for enhanced longevity and easy maintenance. The digital variable speed head is compatible with single-phase or three-phase motor connections and includes a safety feature to prevent self-start after a power failure.
