The machine is built on a robust, one-piece structural design, ensuring stability and rigidity throughout its large working envelope. It delivers excellent 5-axis simultaneous accuracy performance for operations including mold cutting, highly precise contour finishing, milling, drilling, and tapping. The GSF-5027 boasts an extensive travel capacity with 5-000 mm in X and 2-700 mm in Y, resting on a table measuring 5-000 mm by 2-700 mm that can sustain a load capacity of 3-000 kg-m2. At its core is a high-accuracy 2-axis head with a built-in, direct-driven 15-000 RPM spindle that produces up to 65 kW of power. The rotational B and C axes feature backlashless driving and an impressive rotation positioning accuracy of plus-minus 5 inches, contributing to a 5 axis dynamic rotation synchronization accuracy – TCPM – of 0-04mm. High efficiency is delivered by rapid traverse rates of 32 m-min on the XY axes and a cutting feed rate of up to 20-000 mm-min. The machine is controlled by a standard HEIDENHAIN TNC640 controller and includes advanced standard features like X axis dual linear scale feedback and a thermal compensation system, making it an outstanding choice for complex composite angle machining.
