The grinder features heavy-duty construction from high-grade cast iron with heavy walls and reinforced honeycomb ribbing, ensuring exceptional stability and dampening for durable operation. The sophisticated control system includes a Delta PLC with a 72-inch color touch screen, which uses a conversational program language to simplify job setup, including Programmable Up-Down Head Positioning.

Driving the grinding wheel is a powerful 75 HP spindle drive motor running at 1750 RPM. The large-diameter spindle assembly utilizes four preloaded precision angular contact ball bearings and one NU-type roller bearing, guaranteeing highly accurate grinding performance. Movement is automated through hydraulic-driven longitudinal table movement with Pre-settable speed control and a DC motorized servo crossfeed with ballscrew.

For sustained precision and resistance to wear, the table slides on precision hand-scraped V and Flat ways coated with Turcite B, supported by an Auto Lubrication System. The grinder offers a maximum height of 248 inches from the table surface to the spindle centerline and a fine Vertical Automatic Infeed range from 00005 to 0025 inches. Standard features include a Micro Down Feed system, a Chuck Controller with De-Mag, and a Built-in Proximity Switch. The machine operates on 230 or 460 volts, 3-phase power.
