The Clausing CSG618H is a Manual Precision Surface Grinder with a 6-inch by 18-inch table size, featuring manual movement on all three axes (X, Y, Z) and a robust construction for accurate grinding.

The grinder is built from high-grade cast iron with heavy walls and reinforced ribs, providing excellent rigidity and dampening. It uses a 2 HP V3 class spindle motor to power the high-precision cartridge-type spindle at 3450 RPM. This spindle is supported by two preloaded precision angular contact ball bearings and one NN-type roller bearing, ensuring highly accurate grinding performance.

The machine offers manual longitudinal table movement with a timing belt drive, and a maximum travel of 20 inches. Cross feed and head positioning are also manual, controlled by ergonomically positioned handwheels. Precision is maintained by ball ways between the table and the saddle. An enlarged column and base provide high stability and rigidity, with a maximum height of 18 inches from the table surface to the spindle centerline.

Standard features include an Auto Lubrication System, a Table Mount Diamond Dresser with diamond, a Grinding Wheel, a Wheel Flange, a Wheel Extraction Screw and Nut, a Balancing Stand with Arbor, and Leveling Screws with Blocks. The machine is wired for 230 or 460 volts, 3-phase.
