Flint Machine Tools

CSG818H

Constructed from high-grade cast iron with heavy walls and reinforced ribs, the machine features an enlarged column and base for excellent rigidity, stability, and dampening. 2 HP V3-class motor drives the spindle and rotates at 3,450 RPM. It is a high-precision cartridge-type spindle supported by two preloaded precision angular contact ball bearings and one NN-type roller bearing for highly accurate grinding performance.

The grinder offers a maximum grinding width of 89 inches and a maximum longitudinal table travel of 20 inches. It utilizes ball ways between the table and saddle for smooth movement. The maximum height from the table surface to the spindle centerline is 18 inches.

Key machine features include a Manual Longitudinal Table Movement with a timing belt drive, and Manual Cross Feed Movement and Head Positioning with ergonomically placed handwheels. Standard features also include an Auto Lubrication System, a Table Mount Diamond Dresser with diamond, a Grinding Wheel, a Wheel Flange, a Balancing Stand with Arbor, and Leveling Screws with Blocks. The machine is wired for 230 or 460 volts, 3-phase.

Description

Clausing Manual Precision Surface Grinder, 8”x18” table size, with manual X, Y, Z travel, X Maximum travel of 20”, Ball ways between table and saddle, timing belt table drive, 2 Hp Spindle drive motor, 230 or 460 volts, 3 phase.

Features and Benefits:

Clausing Surface Grinders are constructed of high-grade cast iron with heavy walls and reinforced ribs to provide excellent rigidity and dampening. High-precision cartridge-type spindle is supported by 2 preloaded precision angular contact ball bearings and one NN type roller bearing, and driven by V3 class motor that allows highly accurate grinding performance.

Enlarged column and base create high stability and rigidity. The maximum height is 18” from the table surface to the center line of the spindle.

Three-phase refers to three individual lines that connect to and run voltage through the motor. Each line alternates in a sequence as it reaches its voltage peak. This provides for a more stable flow of voltage and more horsepower to the machine. 230 or 460 voltage; other voltages will need a transformer.
