A core feature is the adoption of a Direct Drive (DD) wheel spindle. This system reduces the weight and lowers the center of gravity of the wheelhead compared to traditional belt-drive systems, which significantly improves the wheelhead’s ability to follow complex movements for high-accuracy grinding. This patented performance is further bolstered by the TOYODA STAT BEARING and a floating plate system, ensuring long-term, stable accuracy by eliminating bearing wear.
The machine is capable of process integration, allowing for both outer diameter grinding and shoulder grinding to be combined into a single, efficient process. This consolidation improves cycle time and overall productivity. Operators control the machine with the advanced Toyoda GC70 controls.
