The Acer e-Lathe 1760G is a modern High Speed Precision Engine Lathe offering superior control, efficiency, and turning capacity. Its robust design provides a 17-inch maximum swing over the bed and a generous 60-inch distance between centers. The machine is built on a heavy-duty, approximately 12-inch wide, hardened and ground Meehanite casting bedway, which ensures exceptional rigidity and long-term dimensional accuracy for precision work. The power system is a key feature, utilizing a 7-5 HP high-efficiency spindle motor and a frequency drive that delivers infinite variable spindle speeds ranging from a low of 25 RPM up to 2,200 RPM. This three-gear-range design minimizes the number of mechanical gears in the headstock, resulting in low maintenance and downtime costs, while also offering up to 35 percent energy savings. Speed changes are electronic and can be executed instantly in approximately 4 seconds. The machine features an electronic and mechanical brake for fast, safe spindle stops. The spindle has a 2-1/4 inch bore with a D1-6 camlock nose. The carriage is equipped with a versatile, quick-change gearbox, allowing the operator to select a wide range of threads- including Inch threads from 4 to 56 TPI and Metric threads from 0-5 to 7 mm/pitch– without changing gears.
