The spindle is manufactured from induction hardened and ground medium carbon steel and features a 1-1-2 inch through bore, supported by a two-point taper roller bearing system for consistent accuracy. The headstock contains gears made from hardened and ground chromium molybdenum steel to ensure longevity and quiet running, all lubricated via a forced lubrication system.

Efficiency is maximized by the unique two-lever universal gearbox, which allows operators to access all threading and feeding ranges by simply moving two levers and two dials. Furthermore, the apron is equipped with a fully interlocked automatic feeding and threading mechanism to prevent accidental simultaneous engagement.
