The ACER Dynamic Engine Lathe 1440G is a robust and precise machine designed to meet the demands of high-accuracy general turning. The machine is built for durability, weighing in at 2,310 lbs and featuring a 10 inch wide bed way constructed from FC-30 casting iron. The bed ways are hardened and ground to Rockwell C 55 degrees, ensuring long-lasting accuracy and resistance to wear. The machine offers a 14 inch swing over the bed and 40 inches distance between centers, with a 21 inch swing over the gap for occasional larger pieces.

The high-performance headstock features all gears made from chromium molybdenum steel which are hardened and ground for maximum precision. A forced lubrication system is in place to lubric lubricate all running gears and bearings within the headstock, extending machine life. The spindle is made from medium carbon steel, is induction hardened and ground, and is supported at two points by taper roller bearings. The spindle bore diameter is 1-9/16 inches, with speeds adjustable across 8 steps from 65 up to 2000 RPM. The universal gear box allows for easy selection of 32 kinds of Inch threads (3 to 56 TPI) and 22 kinds of Metric threads (0-25 to 6mm pitch) using only three levers and one rotary dial. For enhanced safety, the apron includes an interlocking mechanism to prevent the simultaneous engagement of automatic feeding and threading functions.
