The Dynamic-1780G is a high-speed engine lathe meticulously engineered to combine precision with robust, heavy-duty capability. The machine’s foundation rests on a massive, triangular ribbed bed cast from FC-30 casting iron that has undergone an annealing process to ensure no deformation occurs on the slideways over time. The oversized bedways are induction hardened and ground to a hardness of Rockwell C 55 degrees, guaranteeing long-lasting accuracy.

The headstock is cast from high-tensile cast iron (FC25), contributing to its rigidity and durability. It features a key design element, the three-point support on the spindle, which is crucial for maintaining accuracy during heavy cutting operations. Power is supplied by a 7-5 HP drip-proof spindle motor. The uniquely designed and fully enclosed gearbox simplifies operation by offering a comprehensive range of inch and metric threads that can be accessed without manually exchanging gears. For enhanced durability and minimal friction, the saddle is coated with Turcite-B for superior wear resistance. The machine also incorporates essential features like an oil-bathed longitudinal lead screw, an oil-bathed cross lead screw (optional), and an electro-trochoid pump that forces lubrication oil to all internal running headstock parts. Safety features include a power disconnecting limit switch and a safety pin on the gearbox’s output shaft to protect against potential damage.
