The Acer Dynamic-2160GH is a heavy-duty, high-speed precision engine lathe from the Dynamic “21” Series, engineered for demanding industrial environments requiring both capacity and tight tolerance machining. The lathe boasts a generous 21-25 inch swing over the bed, a maximum swing of 26-77 inches over the gap, and a substantial 60 inch distance between centers, allowing it to handle long and large diameter components.

At the core of the machine is a powerful 10 HP single-speed motor that drives the spindle through 18 steps of speed, ranging from a low 25 RPM for heavy cuts to a high 1,545 RPM for precision work. The spindle itself features a 3-34 inch bore and a D1-8 Camlock nose for secure workholding. The machine’s foundation is a massive, 13-77 inch wide bed constructed from Meehanite casting that is both hardened and ground, ensuring long-lasting rigidity and precision. The quick-change gearbox is highly versatile, with a direct selection system allowing for a wide range of threading—including Inch threads (4-56 TPI) and Metric threads (0-5-7 mm pitch)—without the need for gear change-outs. It also features an Automatic Longitudinal Multiple Feed Stop and interlocked feed and threading functions for operator safety and process control.
