The Acer Dynamic-2180GH is engineered as a high-performance, high-precision engine lathe designed for demanding turning operations that require both capacity and accuracy. Its substantial turning capacity includes a 21-25 inch maximum swing over the bed and an impressive 78-74 inch distance between centers, accommodating long and large workpieces. The machine is built on a heavy-duty Meehanite casting bedway that is hardened and precision ground to ensure exceptional stability, resist distortion, and maintain long-term accuracy.

The headstock is powered by a robust 10 HP motor and features a 3-35 inch large spindle bore with a D1-8 camlock nose. The spindle mechanism provides 18 steps of speed ranging from a low of 25 RPM for high-torque cutting to a high of 1,545 RPM for finishing passes. All gears and shafts are hardened and ground alloy steel to guarantee smooth, reliable power transmission. The lathe is highly versatile in threading, featuring a quick-change gearbox with direct selection for both Inch threads (4-56 TPI) and Metric threads (0-5-7 mm/pitch), as well as Module Pitch and Diametral Pitch capabilities.
