The Dynamic-2460G is an industrial-grade, precision engine lathe engineered for high-speed, heavy-duty machining operations. The machine’s stability begins with its foundation, a massive one-piece machine bed cast from high-quality FC-30 casting iron, weighing 7,150 lbs to minimize vibration. The bedways are hardened and ground at Rockwell C 55 degrees for long-lasting accuracy. Power is supplied by a drip-proof 15 HP spindle motor. The headstock employs magnetic multiple-disc clutches for efficient starting, stopping, and reversing of the spindle. It provides 12 precise spindle speeds ranging from a low of 25 RPM to a high of 1,200 RPM.

Operator efficiency is prioritized with features like rapid four-directional travel, a saddle-lock device for heavy cutting, and a magnetic disc brake with a foot pedal for rapid spindle control. The quick-change gearbox is designed with a safety ring on one of the outside gears to prevent damage, and it allows for a wide range of threading operations. Lubrication is managed efficiently by an electro-trochoid pump that forces oil to all running parts outside of the headstock, complemented by an oil flood indicator and an oil-bathed longitudinal leadscrew (4 TPI). The handwheel features a direct inch-or-metric reading micro-collar for high precision.
