The Clausing 3VSCNC is a heavy-duty CNC Vertical Knee Mill engineered for demanding milling applications, offering a blend of traditional manual operation and modern CNC capability. It features a robust 10-inch x 54-inch work table with a substantial table load capacity of up to 880 lbs. The machine provides ample travel with 33 inches of longitudinal (X) travel and 15-5 inches of cross (Y) travel.

Power is supplied by a 3 HP AC motor driving an electronic inverter variable speed spindle, offering an infinitely adjustable speed range from 60 to 4,300 RPM across high and low gear ranges (Low 60-500 RPM, High 550-4300 RPM). This flexibility ensures the correct torque and speed for diverse materials and cutting tools. The 3VSCNC is built on Meehanite castings for superior rigidity and wear resistance, and all ways (X, Y, and Knee) are hardened and ground, with the X and Y ways coated in Turcite B for smooth movement and wear resistance.

The machine’s versatility comes from its CNC control system, typically the Acu-Rite Mill Power G2 Control, which allows for full 3-axis CNC operation (X, Y, Z-Quill) using easy-to-use conversational shop floor programming or standard G-Code for more complex projects. Key construction features include ground ball screws on the X and Y axes for precise positioning, an R-8 or ISO-30 spindle taper, and ABEC 7-CP4 spindle bearings for sustained accuracy. Standard equipment includes a coolant system and a one-shot lubrication system.
