The GMV-5 is a rugged Super Heavy Duty 40-Taper Milling Machine designed for high capacity and precision milling. It boasts a substantial 12-inch by 58-inch table with three hardened and ground T-slots capable of supporting a workpiece load of up to 1500 pounds. Key to its heavy-duty performance are the hardened and ground square boxways in the Y and Z axes, providing superior stability for demanding cuts. The machine is equipped with a powerful 5 HP spindle motor that drives a dual range variable speed head with speeds from 80 to 4000 RPM and features a heavy-duty NT 40-Taper spindle. Precision is maintained by ABEC-7 class-7 spindle bearings, ensuring maximum runout of only 00002 inch. The quill is hardened ground, and chrome-plated with a 413-inch diameter. With travels of 405 inches in the X-axis, 1575 inches in the Y-axis, and 16 inches in the Z-axis, the GMV-5 provides the capacity and strength required for super heavy-duty toolroom tasks.
