The machine is driven by a powerful 15 HP motor and utilizes a clutch-type geared head that allows for easy speed changes and provides 18 spindle speeds across the range of 10 to 1,200 RPM.

The spindle features a 4-125-inch bore and a D1-11 Camlock nose, granting excellent capacity for large bar stock. For consistent accuracy, all headstock gears are hardened and ground from Chrome-Moly material, and the spindle is supported by high-precision angular contact bearings. The lathe boasts an extremely wide range of threading capabilities, handling fine threads up to 84 TPI and coarse threads down to 1-4 TPI. The inclusion of a removable gap allows the swing capacity to be extended to 39 inches for processing large, short parts.
