The A12030SD Pallet Changer with Y-Axis Shift is a robust and essential automation solution for VMCs that handle large-format workpieces. Manufactured by Midaco, this system’s primary goal is to significantly reduce non-cutting time by allowing operators to set up the next job outside the machine while the current part is being machined. The unit includes a Series 120 End Load Shuttle unit with a dedicated Y-Axis Shift function, enabling the pallet to move completely away from the machining center’s work envelope for safe, convenient loading and unloading.

The package comes standard with two 120 inch by 30 inch by 2-5 inch (3-048 mm by 762 mm by 63-5 mm) End Load Cast Aluminum Pallets, each rated for a substantial 8-000 lb (3-632 kg) total capacity when the weight is evenly distributed. Pallet change precision is ensured by two Series 52A pneumatic receivers, which feature an integrated air blast system to guarantee a clean, repeatable seating surface. The system also includes an Automatic Door and an indicator lamp to facilitate seamless, safe, and efficient pallet changeover operations.
