The A3020SD Y-Axis Shift Pallet Changer is a premier automation solution from Midaco, engineered to drastically improve productivity by eliminating machine downtime associated with part loading and unloading. This automatic system allows operators to safely set up the next job on an external pallet while the machine is running, ensuring virtually uninterrupted spindle operation. The core of the system is the Series 30 End Load Shuttle unit, which features an automatic door and an indicator lamp for seamless pallet exchange.

A key feature is the Y-axis shift function on the shuttle unit, which moves the shuttle plate out of the operator’s way when the pallet is in the machine, improving workflow and safety. The package includes two 30 inch by 20 inch by 1-5 inch Cast Aluminum Pallets and a Pneumatic Receiver with an air blast feature to ensure a clean, precise pallet mounting surface inside the machining center every time. The receiver unit has a standard 1-000 lb (454 kg) capacity for evenly distributed loads, with an optional 2-000 lb (908 kg) capacity available for heavier workpieces.
