It is built around twin 6-000 RPM opposed spindles, each delivering 15 HP peak power and capable of handling a 2-008 inch (51 mm) bar capacity using a Traub TRB-52 collet. The machine’s key strength is its tooling system, which provides 36 total tool positions, including 18 driven tools. Critically, it features a 12-tool “Any-Angle” B-Axis capability, allowing for intricate milling and drilling operations on the part at any angle, combining with a dual Y-axis (Y1 and Y2) for both front and back work. This configuration allows for simultaneous machining on both the main and sub-spindles, drastically reducing cycle times.
