Its core capability lies in its simultaneous main and sub-spindle machining feature, supported by a sophisticated 8-axis configuration that includes Double Y-axis and Double C-axis functionality for superior flexibility and complex contouring. The main spindle operates at 6-000 RPM with a 10 HP servo motor, handling bar stock up to 1-5-8 inches (42 mm). Tooling capacity is extensive, providing a total of 30 tools, with 8 driven tools standard on the main spindle’s cross slide, running at 4-000 RPM. The machine is versatile, offering two distinct operation modes-it can turn long parts up to 12-20 inches using the optional Rotary Synchronous Guide-Bushing, or function as a chucker with a 4-13 inch turning length when the guide bushing is removed.
