The HM4040P is a robust and flexible Horizontal Machining Center from ARES SEIKI, built for precision and high-volume output across diverse industries, including Automotive, Medical, and 3C Electronics. Designed to minimize non-cutting time, it utilizes a dual 400 x 400 mm pallet system and a fast, Servo motor-driven Automatic Pallet Changer (APC). The robust design handles workpieces up to a maximum load of 400 kg and dimensions of 560 mm in diameter and 700 mm in height.

The machine provides an excellent working envelope with axis travels of X 560 mm, Y 500 mm, and Z 560 mm. Powering the cutting is a rigid BT40 taper spindle with a direct drive system, delivering a standard speed of 10-000 RPM, with optional speeds available up to 15-000 RPM. This spindle is supported by a large-capacity 60 plus 1 tools Cam Type ATC, ensuring diverse part processing without manual intervention, and achieving a rapid tool-to-tool change time of only 4 seconds. Movement across all three axes is exceptionally fast, with a rapid traverse rate of 48 meters per minute. Furthermore, the integrated rotary B-axis provides highly precise indexing with a minimum angle of 0.001 degrees and a cumulative indexing precision of only 10 seconds.
